Sta. Maria National High School was located in Sta. Maria, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao. It was established in 1968 with the name of Sta. Maria Barrio High School. Only to be renamed in 1973 as Potia Community High School. Again, it was renamed in 1975 as Potia Barangay High School. Finally, the school was renamed to it's present one in 1984.
It is one of the schools who have the most number of students with 1416 junior students including Sta. Maria National High School Extension, 747 senior high school students. In total of 2263 students.
They prefer SMNHS because of it's good feed backs. It is known as the biggest school in the province of Ifugao. Hopefully, this school will be known for it's good teachers and disciplined students.
